Staying in Your Glory

Rest in your heart because everything is all right. It's all in your mind for you to see as a miracle. The miracle is a shift in perspective. The miracle is contagious because we are all one mind. The world is a reflection of your inner state. Collect witnesses to miracles and you will be convinced.

Practice Hearing the Holy Spirit

The Course points to the Truth. Practice hearing the Holy Spirit. The power of our joining is massive and we can't mess it up, in spite of what the ego tries to tell us. The Holy Spirit is always giving us gentle guidance, moment to moment. Open to that and relax into it.

Steps in Prayer

Prayer is the desire of your heart. Because the sleeping mind wants idols, you can't help but begin by praying for specifics, for idols. This is actually the prayer to have a better past. Look at your motivation for prayer. As you move higher up the ladder of prayer you clear the altar of your heart of every desire except the desire for God. Don't skip over this step. At the top of the ladder the prayer becomes: "Let me accept myself exactly as I am."

Learning Opportunities

Learning opportunities gently repeat until you choose again for healing. Suspend your judgments and conclusions and keep opening to the Holy Spirit. Be gentle with yourself and others. You are so loved.

Individual vs. Group Guidance

There is no group; it's just a metaphor. There is one Voice. Two who are deeply attuned can hear the same thing at the same time. The guidance is important, not the form. Trust the Holy Spirit's guidance, listen to it and follow it.

3 Steps of Forgiveness

Our only function is forgiveness. To forgive the world we made, we need only expose and welcome the darkness when it comes, instead of pushing it down. Then accept and allow it, no matter what it looks or feels like, without judging yourself. Finally, just hand it over to spirit and it is literally gone.

Let the Holy Spirit Do It

You may be tempted to think that your study and analysis of the words of the Course will lead you to awakening. But, "You need take thought for nothing, careless of everything except the only purpose that you would fulfill." Hold the purpose of forgiveness and everything else is given. "It cannot be that it is hard to do the task that Christ appointed you to do, since it is He Who does it."  Let go of being the doer. Be done through; be open to be shown. Your intuitive trust in Spirit is what leads you to awakening.

The End of Linear Time

A classic talk by David Hoffmeister about undoing linear time through forgiveness.  The linear time-space cosmos referred to in Genesis as "the heaven and the earth" can be seen as healed from the perspective of the Holy Spirit.  As we align our thoughts with the Holy Spirit, we are shown what is true and what is false, or illusion. We begin seeing the cosmos as simultaneous rather than linear and the gateway to True Creation (Spirit) is opened for the mind to awaken and know its reality as pure love and light.

Says David, "Do not tarry in linear time. This old perception of linear time never served or brought you happiness or joy or peace. Now is the end of the old paradigm of sacrifice and pain. Come within and join in the stillness of Christ. All your seeming needs will be provided by the one who calls you! Do not hesitate or delay an instant further. What good has delay ever brought?"

Undoing Linear Time

To show the concept of linear time, David uses a spaghetti string, a noodle. He says that we are like fish out of water. Or "a spirit out of spirit -- on a noodle"! A spirit who has forgotten spirit and is on a noodle now, that's pretty difficult. So if you have had struggles and difficulties in your life, it's not even surprising, because of the mind's belief in time.

In A Course In Miracles (ACIM), Jesus says that the world was made as an attack upon God. Why would God send you to a world that was made as an attack upon God? That would be mean! Some people may say, "I didn't ask to be here."  The answer to that is that everyone who believes they are in time asked to be here.
